Camilo's footsteps ‘200 years of the writer’

As part of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of Camilo Castelo Branco's birth, the Ribeira de Pena municipality is organising an 8-kilometre walk along the Caminho do Abade (Abbot's Path).

The meeting point will be at 08:30 in Largo da Igreja do Divino Salvador, with the start scheduled for 9:00.

Participation is free and entries can be made via Google Forms, at the Museums, at the Town Hall and at Casa da Torre.

This initiative aims to celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of Camilo Castelo Branco, the most important writer in Portuguese literature.

The aim of this walk is not only to encourage contact with nature and the local heritage, but also to remember Camilo's strong connection to Ribeira de Pena.
